Hossain Ismail Selim 036 | I am Ismail Hossain selim 71. I am a Bangladeshi collector. My principal collection is Matchbox & Antiques. Even starting with postage stamps but always thinking of collecting something new or different. Matchbox never attracted me. But in 2018 I was overwhelmed to know the collection of Mr Shakil Huq the country’s elite Matchbox collector. After seeing his exhibition I decided to collect with interest to know more about Matchbox. The more I learn about Matchbox, the more I am impressed. I have never imagined the world of Matchbox to be so vast, diverse and friendly. Currently my collection includes 4000 Matchboxes, matchbook, Matchbox holder and labels of various types, shapes and sizes from 111 countries.
Since 2021 as Bangladeshi collector I participated in the following online exhibition. 1. Bangladesh collectors' Show-2021 2. World Matchbox & label exhibition -2023 3. 4th International virtual Matchbox & label exhibition -2024 4. 5th International Matchbox & label exhibition -2025 5. 6th International Matchbox & label exhibition -2026 organised by Bangladesh Matchbox collectors' Club BMCC and also participated International phillumeny online exhibition "PHILLONEX 2025" organised by swiss match Museum. My exhibition theme is about " Different types, shape & sizes Matchbox around the world ". Wish your all the best for this exhibition.
