Greetings! I'm Nikhil Sharma, and I hail from the beautiful city of Hyderabad, India. It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of this incredible phillumenist exhibition that spotlights the fascinating theme of airplanes and rail vehicles. As a fervent collector of matchbox labels and matchboxes, I have always been captivated by the intricate and vibrant designs that showcase various modes of transport.
Over the years, my collection has grown significantly, and I have gathered a diverse range of matchboxes and labels from India, each with its distinct portrayal of different airplanes and rail vehicles. I have been collecting these fascinating items for the past three years and have amassed around 5,000 matchboxes and labels on various themes.
To me, phillumeny is not just a hobby but a way of recognizing the art and history behind these small, yet significant, pieces of paper. The designs depicting airplanes and rail vehicles not only exude beauty but also offer a glimpse into the unique cultures and technological advancements of different eras.
