I am Srijan De Sarker from Kolkata, India. I am working as a Research Assistant in The Asiatic Society. I am a student of M.A. and B.Ed. of Jadavpur University. My day-birth hobby in Phillumeny takes a definite shape with an appreciation of my father Gopi De Sarker, when I was just 10 years old. Till date, I use to organize some major exhibition from my collection in specific subjective area. The Important exhibitions are Saga of Life (Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, Kolkata- 2015), World of Life & Light (RamKrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata- 2016), Tiger (Bangladesh Matchbox Collectors’ Club, Bangladesh- 2020), Birds (Phillonex with the Swiss Match Museum, Switzerland- 2021) and 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (BMCC, Bangladesh-2022). I have written many articles and report about Phillumeny. Last year in an online Symposium held by ‘International Culture Center’, I deliver a speech on ‘Beutility of MatchBox’. Two documentary films made on my collection named ‘Saga of Life’ (2015) and ‘The Strips- Dorakata’ (2022). I have some other hobbies like, Autograph and Key-ring collection over the globe. I always try to give some message to the society through my small collection for the Mankind.
